Draftsight setting up for the first time 1

Ive been a part time user of Draftsight 2017 on the free software, I always liked the fact it was very similar to the early noughtys autocads. I recently upgraded to the paid 2019 version but i cant seem to get the system right for me. I have migrated the settings from 2017 but I have a crosshair as the cursor in red and green in the drawing pane and cant seem to select even the most basic drawing commands, for example I select a line from pallet go to plot on screen and nothing happens same with rectangle command and hole etc etc
im sure it will be a simple fix but after combing the help pages i am no wiser.
any pointers on my issue?

How did you get a Little Pink Star??!!

It sounds like your left mouse button is not doing the trick.

Have you proved your 'pick' button works normally otherwise?

Have you rebooted?

You're saying you cannot "pick" anywhere to start a line?
Can you draw a line using the command window? Type in cordinates "0,0" to "5, 5"?

dont know how the lil pink star came about...
I have rebooted a few times now was thinking to reinstall it
I can get some things to draw on screen via text pane but very random
Mouse LH button working fine with every other programme

all resolved I move program screen into my Lh monitor and everything is ok But when i stretch window across it only works in Lh side!

Ah..... ! Video driver games! Some of the worst problems to fix.
