Is there any way to drag and drop two assemblys together so there origins match? This is useful when all your assemblys share a common reference point, the orgin.

just constrain each subassy origin to the top level origin..

or just constrain each subassy origin to each other if you don't want it also aligning to the top level assy origin.

Or if put together correctly you could RMB on the Assembly and go to Properties. On the Occurrence Tab you can set the origin of the ASM to 0,0,0.

2010 has some new features that might work also.
Like "place at component origin"
selects an existing component and then select, place and constrain a new component aligned to and coincident with the selected component’s origin.

Or place them both using the assembly tool 'Ground and root at origin' which comes with the development tools, or is standard now in IV2010.
