Drain through floor-wall joint at sloped bottom tank

I have seen many tanks with a planar sloped bottom (aka shovel bottom) and a drain at the low point of the slope. This drain might be a 6" pipe vertically centered on the wall to bottom plate joint and then run in to the tank a few feet (I have attached at detail from an existing tank). The tanks claim to be designed per API-650 (Modified). I am specifying a new tank for a job and would like to use this detail. The new tank is 10.5' dia x 30' tall.
Does this detail comply with API 650?
Is anyone familiar with a code or other design reference for this detail?
Any other thoughts or recommendations on the use of this or similar details?

This detail is not shown in API 650. They do show under bottom connections and flush nozzles but not nozzles like yours. That said, I have seen this detail several times and for the small tanks it is typically used on I don't think you will be introducing excessive risk as long as it is designed with good engineering judgment, noted on the name plate and the purchaser is on board with you.

Thanks for the response. When you say to "noted on the name plate", is this done by "API 650 (Modified)" or is there a better way. Thanks for your input.
