My old 4300 (bought back in the nineties) has a 2 MB S-ram card that seems to work only with Windows 95 qor 98. Lightning killed my -98 computer and when I try to transfer measurement data to my new VAIO VGN-TX1XP (with XP), it does not work at all.

The local Dranetz guy thinks that I should buy a new analyzer from him, but the amount of PQ work I do nowadays makes that a very uneconomical solution.

I am sure many more users are in the same situation. How have you solved the problem?

Thanks a lot jnunner!

It worked on first try. It is obvious that the BMI/Dranetz rep didn't want to tell me about it. Eng-Tips saved me a lot of money!

Thanks again!

jnunner,

I see that you are new to Eng-Tips. You made a very good start. Have you had the same problem as I had? Or was I just lucky that you found my question?

We had the same problem when the laptop we use had to be replaced. I'd say it was your lucky day, as I was having a rather dull one... ;)
