Draw columns in ETABS

Hello,

I am learning ETABS (migrating from RISA) and can't seem to figure out why I can't draw any columns on a blank model I have created.

Any help will be appreciated.

Do you have nodes drawn already? Usually you need nodes to connect your frames to.

Also - check veiw settings to make sure something weird isn't happening like frames being turned off

I have the grid lines. How do I draw nodes, or assign nodes to intersection of grid lines? thank you.

Figured it out. Can't draw on ground level. Need to be on 1st floor.

Hm - weird.

Yes - gird line intersections work like nodes
