Drawing Comparison from Different CAD environments

Hi,


I want to Compare AutoCad drawings with Catia 3d models for verification purpose.
Can it be done in macros?
I have converted Catia 3d model to catia drawings and then exported to Autocad 2d from a macro
But no idea how to compare..

Plz help!!!

Hi,

Why do u want to compare Autocad drwng with CATIA 3d model? Why not compare it in the CATIA itself?

Thanks for your reply..
We have different suppliers..The AutoCad drawings are created by one of the supplier and the the models which are created in Catia are done by the different one.
For Verification Purpose I need to Compare.

I have an autocad drawing here.can it be compared with catia drawing?

Depend on what are you comparing, if is a simple formal check or you want to check also layers, font size or what ever...

But anyway, you need first to open dwg files in CATIA and convert them to CATDrawings and then use what is described in those posts.
