I am working with Solid Works 2011. Sometimes when I am dimensioning vertically or horizontally I cannot pick the second entity because the dimension text of the first pick is covering up the second pick. Is there a way to rectify this?
Thanks in advance

Although it is somewhat off-putting and sometimes hard to see, you should be able to select right thru the dimension.

AFAIK, there is no way to disable the visibility of the dimension text.

If you select the Tools > Options > Document Properties > Dimensions --- Center between extension lines option, the dimension text will not follow the cursor, making the entity selection a little easier.

Plus, you could zoom in or out a "smidge" with your mouse wheel to un-cover the area of yourr second pick....
