Hi Folks,
I have got a doubt in NX drafting.In NX,drawing file can be created in two ways unlike CATIA and Creo.In CATIA we the drawing file remains a separate file.In NX we can create an independent drawing file and also a drawing file under the part file which stays within the part file.

Why this has been defined in such a way? can anyone help me out pls.

In NX you can work Master Model or not. (Master-model is 2 separate files for Drawing and 3D)
The reason behind Master-Model is that you can work on the 3D file without the need to load the drawing (which usually is a large amount of data to be loaded for NX).

For detail parts where you have simple geometry (Standard parts etc) working master model isn't always the most easy way to work.
It can sometimes be easier to have the Drawing in the same file as the 3D.

As an example;
Part-families in Master-model creates only the 3D files. The drawing isn't created by the part-family, therefor, in such a case (where you want to have a drawing for each family member) it is better to work Non-master model.
