I've done a lots of section views in drawing mode before, but today when I click on the "create section view" icon I immediately get an error message that says "there are no drawing views from which a section can be made". This happens regardless of which view in the drawing I activate.
Any thoughts?

Scott,
It is a solid. I've seen this once before and somehow I got around it but it was a while ago and I didn't make a note of it.

It's not a Rapid Draft drawing is it?

Have you read faq731-376 to make the best use of Eng-Tips Forums?

Scott,
Sorry, I'm new to the site and I didn't give you enough information.
It's a standard, run of the mill SW 2004 solid (sp 4.0), with no alerts, flags, or unresolved features, created the old-fashioned way. Nothing special or complicated about it.
Actually I'm having the same problem with several other parts that I created today as well.
Thanks,
Ray

Are you sure the view is actually "active" and not just selected?

Try Lock View Focus on the view and see if it helps.

Thanks for your response. I guess my 2004 was somehow corrupt. I installed 2005 last night along with SP.01, and the problem went away.
