Great advert for Waymo (who they ?) who seemingly can't control their cars remotely. I wonder if the guy ever got out ?

What was his compensation pay for being a guinea pig for their AI engine?

edit: heck where's MY compensation for being a driver exposed to these AI-driven cars, since it's my (admittedly excellent) driving that's really teaching them.

Johns said he almost missed his flight.

So, Waymo likely did regain control, otherwise, the rider would have had to wait for the car to drain its battery.
