Does anyone have a direct drop-in refrigerant for R-500??

I have an existing system that is 20 years old, and the surface areas of the condenser, and the evaporator(s) is fixed, so I don't want to go to the R-134A route, as the system is marginal in the heat of the summer even with the R-500.

This is for cabin climate control on a large piece of transportation equipment.

Second question, since R-500 is an azeoptrope of R-12, and R-152, if my memory is not gone, what would happen if small quantities of pure R-12 were mixed in as make up to the system on a limited basis???

Suggestions???

imok2,

I am familiar with Dupont Suva products, although I don't think I had seen the fMP-66 for R-500 before this. Thanks for the recommendation.

The wording on the product literature would indicate that it is for low temp applications, less than 15F, and mine is a 35-40F evaporator temperature.

Does anyone have any experience using the Suva MP-66 for a high temp R-500 drop in??
