Hi everyone,

First, I would like to ask about the conversion between compressive and shear yield strength.

is it possible to convert compressive yield strength to shear yield strength for D-P criteria?

Second, for shear damage, the fracture strain means fracture strain from a shear test or compression/tensile test? or any one of them?

Thank you very much.

For such material models you need data from tests carried out with specific stress state induced in the sample. The following documentation chapters discuss this in detail for Drucker-Prager hardening and shar damage:
1) "Extended Drucker-Prager models —> Hardening and rate dependence"
2) "Damage initiation for ductile metals —> Damage initiation criteria for fracture of metals —> Shear criterion"

Okay thank you very much FEA way.
