Hi,

i want calibrate a hyperelastic rubber in abaqus, i have experimental data and i want use Mooney rivlin and Yeoh.
But, also, i want check Drucker Stability?

can i do it?????
is there a internal tool in abaqus or i must create a subroutine, and in this case how?

thanks a lot

Although you can do it in ISight, you do not need to check for Drucker stability criterion; Abaqus does it for you. Essentially, what Abaqus is checking is if the strain energy potential function is convex. If Abaqus thinks it isn't, it will return an error in the msg/dat file.

Also, there is a calibration utility built in in Abaqus/CAE. I recommend looking in to the documentation for more.

For convex curve you intend in material calibration with the use of test data?

tanks a lot

I take that back. I was wrong; you will need access to the subroutines to check the criterion for material stability.

Assuming you are familiar with nonlinear continuum mechanics, then you could plot the strain energy potential against Green-Lagrange strains (E_ij) for the strain ranges of interest.

All of this said, you do NOT have to do it. Abaqus does it for you. Check the documentation.
