Dry Well Size Calculation 1

We need to construct a dry well in a poorly graded sandy soil (SM), the Mechanical Engineers discharge calculation is 101559 liters/15minutes, what we require is the formula for calculating the size of and depth of dry well required.
any help will be greatly appreciated, the building in question is a large recreational facility

there really is no formula, sizing is generally dependant on local conditions and you can get a good idea by talking to a local driller who installs dry wells. Final capacity must be confirmed based on percolation tests of the well after construction. In addition, you may want to construct a retention basin to handle some of the volume to reduce the size or depth of the well required.

Around here, drywells are designed with an allowable 36-hour period for disposal. A maximum disposal rate of 0.1 cubic feet per second (cfs) is often used for estimating the number of drywells required.
