Good Morning,
Guys can you help with these questions please:

1- How is the insulation requirements & construction type noted on mech-plans for aduct passing thrugh a basically unconditioned space. This would be a high pressure primary air from an AHU to a few fan powered boxes.

2- I am looking at some old mech plans from 1971 for a large facility, there are a couple of large boxes shown as induction boxes on the duct path. What is the function of this box?

thanks,

Insulation is in the specification issued with the drawings. There also might be a note on the drawing.

I generally note the insulation requirements in the Project Manual, ditto the duct type.

You can note pressure class on the drawings, and then reference the class to the construction.
