Ductile iron pipes&fittings

Dear All,

I have question related standard of ISO 2531 for ductile iron pipes&fittings related water if this standards the same as BS EN545 or there is little differences?

I think they are different. ISO 2531 covers the fittings and their dimensions while EN 545 covers the test procedures.
 
Both ISO 2531 and BS EN 545 cover the ductile iron pipes, fittings,
accessories and their joints. BS EN 545 is for water pipeline while ISO 2531 states both water and gas applications.
There is also BS ISO 2531 that covers the water application.

looking to BS EN 545, under the "Standardized lengths of fittings
Fittings" it states "Two series of dimensions are shown, the series A corresponding to ISO 2531 and the series B, generally limited up to DN 450."

I suggest to get your hand on both standards and control yourself.



 
I believe ISO 2531:2009 is just for 'water' applications.
 
Thank you rconner for the update. I have ISO 2531:1998 which states for water or gas applications. It looked weird to me to have DI for gas applications ...
