Ductings between top & bottom reinforcement

ACI 6.3.9 said solid slab we need to put ductings between top & bottom rebar. How about RC staircase?

Seems reasonable to apply that to staircases as well. Where else would you want to put the ducts?

I like to debate structural engineering theory -- a lot. If I challenge you on something, know that I'm doing so because I respect your opinion enough to either change it or adopt it.
