I am working on a modification to create removable spool pieces in supply and recirculating duct inside containment at one of our nuclear plants. This is being done to improve our maintenance groups work area and travel path while working on main steam relief valves. Out duct is all welded SS. Justifying a mechanical joint is no problem, but due to material tracking and control AND to minimize time spent in the rad field I am trying locate something similar to a clamshell or Victaulic type of clamp for the new joints. I've searched several hardware websites, but haven't had any luck. Whatever we use, will have to either be seismically qualifed or we can send to lab for qualification. Vendor also needs to be Appendix B supplier.
Any suggestions? Thanks, Jim
