Hello,
I am sending data to a customer that I have either Stp out or made a parsolid of and when they import it into NX you can see our company's
file history (Our companys file name). How do I delete the history out so the can not see that information?

Any help would be appreciated

I'm not sure what you're talking about here. I tested this by exporting a model as Parasolid, STEP203 and STEP214, and then importing them back into empty NX part files and the only file information which I could uncover was referencing the names I gave to the exported files, not the original data. Note that I did not change the 'settings' file for the STEP operations (there is nothing equivalent for Parasolid), I used the out-of-the-box defaults so perhaps there might be an option there which would allow passing additional information.

Anyway, could you provide a bit more detail in terms of what you meant by "file history" and where this information was apparent? Also, what version of NX are you using?

Hello John,
I have attache what the customer sent me when he info a solid within a file I created in NX. The information is our internal part numbers. I created the file by importing a parsoild file into NX...I would like to strip our internal numbers out of th NX file before I save or give the customer ownership of the file

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

What function was used to 'extract' this information from the imported PS file?

I am not sure how he got the information...I check to see if I could find it but the only luck I had was to click on the body and his browse. I can not figure out where he got the information from in the file.

Neither can I. It's possible that he's looking inside the Parasolid file itself since it appears that when actually importing this data into NX it's being stripped out but that it might have been saved when the PS file was first exported FROM NX, however, I just looked at some of the PS files that I have on my system and I can't see anything which looks like this, so it's a mystery to me where he's getting it from. You really need to talk to these people and find out how and why he's looking where he is.
