dxf conversion

I am trying to import a linedrawing into catia using dxf or dwg. Catia v4 seems to read the file with no error message but nothing shows on the screen?
Is there some specail settings in Catia v4 I should be using?
Any help I would appreciate!

Many CAD packages use 3D for both the "Draw"
and "Space" views. Set the CATDXF panel to
SPACE and try it.

Sorry - I meant the DXFCAT panel, not CATDXF.

Have you tried opening the dxf file through the UNIX filetree instead of through the CATUTIL DXFCAT facility? It seems to handle it better if you just open it.

The geometry is probably in the draw window, use the WI hot key at the bottom of the screen type in D and press return, then use CTRL+R to reframe the geometry.
