DXF Export error, NX4

File > Export > DXF

As soon as I perform this series of clicks, I get an error:

"Translator image not found. The environment variable DXFDWG_DIR may not be set correctly."

How do I configure this? Any help?

You don't have the translators installed, I'd guess.

I have re-checked my installation, by going thru the install process, and clicking "modify".

I have every available option included in the install. I did not see a seperate option for DXF exporting. Is there a way to check (maybe in Windows Explorer, under "Program Files"?) the installation and configuration of the DXF exporting functionality?

I'm assuming you have an install DVD? When I put mine in and choose modify, I see the following:

Note the item DXFDWG (4th item from the top of the list) which covers the entire DXFDWG translator (both import and export). If there is a red X beside it, it's not installed or wasn't chosen to be installed.

If modifying doesn't work, I'd try repair. If that doesn't work, completely remove NX and reinstall making sure the correct modules are chosen. You don't have to install everything on the DVD, only what you're licensed to use.
