hello,
i'm modelling a steel frame and i'm tryng to do a dynamic analysis using abaqus. I did a implicit dynamic (I do not which is better explict or implicit). I was wondering if I have to imput the time history in g or in in/s2?. If i input in g the accelerations, should i multiply my result by 386,022?
thanks you.

You mean in what unit system you have to enter gravity?
In the unit system you've used to define the other properties. So if you use mm,s,t as basis then gravity would be 9810.

I'n working in kips and in, for this i multiply my acceleration by 386.022. But i tried to run the analisys, it took a lot of time but when i checked the result (displacement for one node at top) it was zero, always. I do not know where i'm wrong.
thanks a lot for your help.
