Posted in Welding and Bonding forum, but hoping to catch additional fish in this forum.
I'm checking some calcs, and the engineer lists E308-L-16 welds. The calcs list the ultimate capacity as 4.18k/in for a 3/16 fillet weld (or perhaps a flare bevel weld).
I want to check that 4.18 number, and my question is what is Fu of E308? (Using equation P=0.3*Fu*0.707*t for ult. capacity).
