Eddy Current Separator

Hi Guys..
I am building a Eddy Current Separator for separating shredded non-ferrous metals.
The separator rotor assemby will be in stainless, approx 10" diameter x 24" long using 2"x2"x1" NdFeB magnets arranged in opposed poles around the rotor.
I am seeking advise on the safest method or equipment required for holding and locating the magnets in place with the rotor, prior to attaching with adhesive.

You are asking for very proprietary information. The people who respond here and who know how to build a rotor do it for a living. The best advice would be to buy it from an established manufacturer.

What if we could provide a soft magnetic material for the magnets to sit on. For example either different rotor material or put a carbon steel sleeve over the stainless steel rotor. Seems like that would provide two benefits:
1 - Increase the effective strength of the rotor,.
2 - Magnet force can be taken advantage of as part of the solution to keeping the magnets in place.
