Ive noticed this since upgrading to 2011. In a model, or if you make a view in a drawing "shaded with edges" to show color etc..., the outline or edges of the model do not exist, or since they are the same color as the model, there seem to be no edges. Ive tried changing edge colors and thicknesses, but havent had any luck. Can someone tel me if there is a simple fix for this? Attached is a simple pcb dwg. Notice how there are no obvious edges? thanks

Try this:

Tools -> Options
Tab: System Options -> Colors
Under "Color scheme settings" find

"Edges in Shaded With Edges Mode"
Check the color that appears there (is it green?)

I also remember using the computers at school, some didn't have very good graphics cards and wouldn't show the edges. Maybe check that your hardware is good. I had to upgrade all of mine when 2011 came out, SW just wouldn't boot up even.

That did it. I selected "Use specified color for Shaded with Edges mode". I just downloaded 2011 SP2, so the wording may be different. It was not selected. I guess I had set the edge color to black, but thats what I want. Thats been bugging me for a long time.

thanks for the tip

I tried some of the suggestions above and I still have this problem.
