Hi,

Can anyone step me through the process of how you edit the end points of two splines so they are tangent using Edit Curve Parameters in NX8.5?

I'm working with A-class surface edges so I can't use Bridge Curve.

Thanks

You can't necessarily make them tangent to each other but rather make one tangent to the other.
In the studio spline dialog (double click the spline or edit parameters) first make sure you have at least degree 2 for tendency, Select the pole you want to make tangent and drop it onto the end point of the target curve, you can the select G1 from the quick pick prompt or from the continuity drop down.

Why do you say that you can't use a 'Bridge Curve'?

An extra Bridge curve is undesirable because in Class A Single patch surfaces is preferred and the fewer surfaces the better. A bridge between two curves will produce either of the two. In the end of the day the Class A modeler need to guarantee the quality and the shape of the surfaces and the traditional way of proofing this is to study the pole structure.
