HI All,

I am using NX 8.5.3.3.
I have created a drawing sheet with Size D(22 X 34).
Now I have a variation In Component Dimension which will increase component size.
So with respect to Change in dimension, I have to edit sheet size. Is there any way, we can do this?(Link or make expression that will change sheet size with Certain Dimensions).

I know of no out of the box (OOTB) command or method to resize a drafting sheet based on other criteria.

However, the scale of drafting views can be driven by an expression. Perhaps you could scale down the views when the part increases size.

I had a similar issue to what you have now, and what I did was change the view scale based on the size of the assembly.
To the right of where the view scale can be change there is an expression button where the view scale can be controlled by an expression.

cowski and jerry,
I also have investigated the ways and I agree that sheet size is not editable w.r.t dimensional change however we can scale down the drafting views.
But my customer will not agree on same as they have their own standard of different sheet size based on component size.
Is there any way we can write short KF or Nxopen program and invoke that whenever drawing is opened, so that drafter can select the desired sheet size.

The drafter can change the sheet size at any time (right click on the sheet in the navigator -> Edit sheet... and choose a different size). No custom code is required for the drafter to change the sheet size.

Yes,thats true. But I mean to say, on opening drawing, dialogue will pop up for selecting the sheet size and then views will be placed accordingly. This seems to be little difficult to me but might be, this can be done using nxopen automation.

Maybe what you may want to start with is a master file with as a 2-3 sheet drawing, each sheet with a different sheet size, then delete the sheet sizes that won't be needed.

Yes jerry, that could be a perfect solution for different sheet sizes.
I will propose this to my customer. Lets see.
But thanks anyways.
