I am trying to quote a machine that has been designed in Solid works. They have sent me the E drawings models of the machine instead of the solid works models and or drawings so i have to pick the whole machine apart and measure it manually using edrawings.

Has anyone else experienced E Drawings 2005 crash when you go to maximize the Edrawing? it just freezes. it keeps happening on my laptop.

Toshiba Tecra S1 laptop. Intel 1.5ghz , 512mb of ram, etc etc. win xp sp2. edrawings 2005 pro. Any suggestions?

To eliminate the crashes caused by your video card, you can do the following:
Open up edrawings without anything loaded (just the application)
Go to Tools>Options>General
Check the "Use software OpenGL" checkbox.

This will reduce performance, but eliminate the crashes caused by your video card.

Yes, graphics performance is certainly lacking in e-drawings.

Also, the rotate tool just plain acts weird.

The Use "Software OpenGL" option is just the same as the "Hardware Acceleration", except the "HA" does does alittle more to the graphics, then the Software OpenGL does.
