eDrawings Viewer problems after batch file conversion from '04 to '05

I've just batch converted all my part and drawings from 2004 to 2005 using the Conversion Wizard supplied with SW 2005 Office. However, when I try to view them using eDrawings 2005, the BOM doesn't appear on the dwg and the title block has update errors.

It is easy enough to correct the BOM and title block errors by opening each individual file in SW 2005, rebuilding it, saving it and then closing it. But that's too time consuming considering there are 1000's of files to convert.

I've tried using the Update function in SW Task Scheduler to automatically update the files but that didn't work. It seems that the Update function only updates the sheet that was active when the drawing was last saved.

One solution might be to use a macro to open, rebuild, save and close files using Solidworks 2005, but I'm not up to speed on making the macros. Any suggestions?

Is there any other solution?

Thanks in advance. HJ

I believe this is an issue with Edrawings and there is a SPRfor this problem. However from what I know, there is no workaround at this time. You might try using the SW Viewer instead

I'm having the same problem, but with the SW Viewer. None of my BOM's are showing up in the viewer. Well, not none, because sometimes one or two of the drawings does show the BOM, but definately not all of them. Suggestions?
