Hi
I am using ProEnginner to perform a Dynamic response analysis.
Is it possible to obtain the Effective mass separately in X , Y and Z direction

Thanks in advance

What type of response analysis are you trying to perform? Yes the MPF's are available for each direction depending on how you set up the analysis.

Good luck,

If your input spectrum is in one axis only then you will get mass participation for that axis only which is I believe what you are after. If you are applying multiple axial inputs at the same time then no you cannot achieve them separately. Also this is assuming you are applying your input as base excitation. Creo will not output mass participation factors with load functions. Select mass participation factors on the output tab and the results will show effective mass at each modal frequency included in the analysis.

Hope that helps,
