ekill and ealive

I am doing a structural analysis after performing a thermal analysis. In the structural solution I use the 'ldread' command in order to read in the nodal temperatures from the thermal solution.

For the ldread, my solution converges up to the time when my elements are killed. At precisly the time they are 'alive', my solution does not converge.

Any ideas to what might be the cause?
