Electrical PE Exam

I'm taking the California electrical PE exam in Oct. and was looking for recomendations on study materials. There are a ton of websites offering study materials but i'm just not sure which is the best. Please help.

The IEEE Power Engineering Society is offering a PE study course in Orange County, CA. I took this course in the mid 90's. It is outstanding. The course lasts from July 14 through October 27, meeting once a week for 4 hours (Sat mornings). The focus was on Power Engineering questions, which is usually the majority of the course. It was very structured. By the end of the course, you will have 2 very well orginized large 3-ring binders of detailed course notes (handouts) and plenty of completed problems (your homework).

Instructors for the course where either Power Engineers from SCE (local utility) or other equally knowledgable persons. All homeworks were nearly identical to past-years exam questions. There were about 10 homeowrk questions issued each week.

Frankly, when I took the exam that October I felt that I had answered all of the required questions successfully. I passed the course, but was not able to find out my scope. My point is that the course does an outstanding job of preparring you. Cost is about $300. Worth every penny.

Here is the outline of the course when I took it. Each topic listed represents a 1 week session:

3. Power System Analysis: 3-phase systems, Per Unit System
4. Power System Analysis: Voltage Drop, Capacitor Applications

I am currently studying to take the Electrical PE exam with the Power module in April. There are no live review courses where I live, so I am taking a course through

They have a number of books, including books that were written by R. Yarbrough. I'm using the "Electrical Engineering Reference Manual for the Electrical and Computer PE Exam" as my primary study guide. I'm supplementing the power area with my old textbook, Elements of Power System Analyis by Stevenson along with Schaums Electrical Machinery for motors.
