I am looking for an electrically actuated diaphragm valve. I am picturing a direct acting, small orifice (Ø.032"), normally closed, 3000 PSI, solenoid driven valve. Is there such an animal?

Is the diaphragm "see" the 3000psi? What is the diaphragm area?

It would. I think I should be looking at a poppet style valve instead. I need it to be bi-directional and with a very low leak rate with hydrogen.

Is it hydrogen gas or liquid? What do you mean by bi-directional?

Hydrogen gas. The flow through the valve could be in either direction, and must seal against the pressure differential in either direction when closed.
Leak rate on the order of .002cc/min.

If you are looking for off the shelf valve I am not aware of such valve however, such valve can be designed. Missing information is:

Mode of operation, Life cycle, environment, electrical current available, Electrical voltage, open and close response time, etc.
