I need to have a copper plate electroless nickel plated. But I need to attach a copper tubing to the plate first. I plan to use hard silver solder. Will the solder be a problem during nickel plating? Thanks.

It can be done. We used to do Elnic on Inconel coiled tube assemblies that were silver brazed (silver soldered)to cast 17-4 end frames. Not sure if any tweaks are needed to the bath parameters. Just let the plater know what metal combos he is working with.

Thanks for the reply. The only comment from the vendor was not to use a soft solder for potential adhesion strength (of nickel to soft solder). Will go ahead with the hard solder plan. Thanks again.
