Under large Deformation the element of a layer i should be reactivated so that at the moment of reactivation its new configuration must conform to the distortion of the layer underneath (stage i-1) which has been subject to large deformation .Also layer i elements must start to experience strain only at the moment since the step (within which the reactivation step is included) starts.
I red related Doc and I think that I should use Add Element without Strain you agree ? alright . But in this case one has convergence problem
Doc says : quote
"the problem can be eliminated if the inner nodes are allowed to follow the outer nodes prior to reactivation, which can be accomplished by applying displacement boundary conditions on the inner nodes"
This mean that during the step befor one should apply BC forcing the the nodes of interface elements course to have the same displacement value as the interface nodes
DO you agree with that.
Please advise how can one do that. Is it through equation BC
