hi everyone someone can explain me the diference between protective relay (like PILZ) and a latching relay or solid relay what I know is than protect against overcurrent and responde with a timer or somthing like that, because I have and old PILZ with 2 normally open contacts and Y1 and Y2 to reset the PILZ but in Y1 and Y2 there is a bridge so I dont think I need another PILZ maybe just a latching relay with a fuse or something like that, this PILZ enable 24vdc for the outputs of a PLC and cut off when press the emergency stop, what do you recommend to change it?

If it's bad, I'd recommend that you replace it with the same thing.

It's a special protective relay module that has 2 relays in series for the E-Stop, it checks the operation of both relays. It also contains circuitry that checks the E-Stop button circuit. If it finds a fault in any of these areas, it will go into fault and inhibit operation until the fault is cleared.

It really can't be replaced by anything other then another E-Stop module, unless you want to compromise the safety of your machine.
