Situation:
Wet pond with a catch basin outlet structure that flows to a swale via a pipe (primary). Pretty standard outfall.
The emergency spillway (ES) is designed such that it would flow directly to the swale if needed for an extreme event of if the catch basin / pipe failed for some reason via clogging, beavers moving in, etc.
Standard practice on the 'Outlets' tab is to have the ES routed to the primary (pipe). But technically it would never enter the pipe and go directly to the swale. Should a standard routing practice be to have the ES routed to 'Secondary' and point that as it were at the swale?
THANKS!!!
