EN 13444-3 vs EN 286-1

Hi, what's the main difference between EN 13445-3 and EN 286-1?
these 2 codes are accepted in Europe, but in other parts of the world, EN 13445-3 is accepted but not EN 286-1.
i tried searching around but there isn't any answer, or maybe nobody queried this before.

U mean 13445 and not 13444 I assume. 13445 is for design and construction of vessels. The scope of 286, although I don't k ow the standard, is for simpler vessels. I think the code isn't used that often, and quite often simple vessels are designed per 13445. Also 286 may be aligned more with the SPVD, where 13445 goes for the PED.

As XL83NL says EN 13445 is harmonized to PED and used for unfired pressure vessels.

EN 286 is harmonized with SPVD and used for simple unfired pressure vessels. It covers smaller unalloyed steel and aluminium vessels with a pressure of max 30 bar for air and nitrogen. The exact scope of the standard can be found in ch 1.

Is the SPVD even used? I don't see it often mentioned on CE declarations of conformity that I review for misc pressure equipment.
