Hi,

I am struggling with finding the EN standard that specifies which materials and starting from which thicknesses post-weld heat treatment is necessary.
If somebody knows in which norm I can find those data it would be very helpful.

Thanks in advance!

What do you mean by design code. We want to design our whole process conform the EN standards.
I thought that within a certain standard organisation, no difference is made between different design codes?
Thanks for the reply

Your design (e.g. EN 13480 for piping or EN 13445 for vessels) usually tells the requirements on PWHT, and may reference to another standard for application details. For example, EN 13480 may tell yuo welding has to be done using EN 15614. Thereofre EN 13480 is the design code, EN 15614 a service code as it referenced by the code you're using.
Even the PED 97/23/EC may tell you something about PWHT (be it very gebneral and vague), but if you're making steel structures it is totally not applicable.

It's for piping under pressure for steam processes. The piping is calculated according to EN13480.

I found it, it was in EN 13480-4. We didn't had this part in our library. Thanks for the replies!!!
