Hi all,

I'm creating a library of EN1092-1 flanges in Solidworks.

At this moment I'm trying to create all Type 04 flanges with all face combinations e.g.:
Type 04 - Face Type A
Type 04 - Face Type B
Type 04 - Face Type C
etc..

I have two questions regarding the EN-1092-1 flanges in combination with the facetypes.

First question
When I create a Type 04 flange with a face is chamfer E still used?
The reason I ask is because chamfer E interferes with the facestypes.
E.g.: type 04 in combination with type D face would result in a clash of chamfer E and the face.

Second question:
How is type 04 flange combined with type H face.
Bore diameter of a type 04 flange DN600 is B3=650mm and Z=648mm which means that the diameter of the groove is smaller then the boresize.

Maybe I'm using facetypes in a wrong way because of all these clashes.
Please assist.

I think I figured it out.
Although its no mentioned in the EN-1092-1 I think types 02 and 04 don't have any factype since those flanges are not pressed on another flange directly but via a pressed collar.
