Dear;

Good morning,

I have detected that the anchor bolts in a storage tank (API 650), are propped up (see image) the supervisor in charge has indicated to me that this has been done by constructive process.

Well I assume it is the first time that this contractor makes this type of assembly, what I would like to know is what kind of non-destructive testing would be recommended to discard cracks and microcracks without delaying the project.

Consider that the project is already more than 1 month late and the intention is not to stop the activities.

Where on Earth does that image represent the outcome of a normal accepted practice?

Do you have more images that could help us understand the context?

The information that I have been able to gather up to now is the following:

Apparently they used the bolts as supports to assemble the last tank ring.
The shoring was done with tubular wire E71T-1.

If I have more information, I will inform you as soon as possible.

Thank you!
