We are a company specialising in end of line packaging machines and would like assistance with the install , programming and general technical knowledge on end defectors and robots, mainly fanuc and ABB.

That's a very large topic. Schunk is big on grippers (I think you mean "effector"). I'm sure both Fanuc and ABB have tutorials on robots.
