Hi,

I have the following data from which I need to calculate the electrical energy consumption.

1. Capacity of the refrigeration unit = 50TR
2. Ventilation Rate = 10000 CFM
3. Usage = Would in use for 12 hours for 3 months.

Need to find Electrical energy consumption for the given period.
Any specific method or formulas??

You will have to spend some time studying about HVAC systems to answer these questions.

This is too complicated of an answer for this forum. But overall you should select a piece of equipment that meets those requirements that you posted - and it will be provided with it's (peak) power consumption.

The hard part is figuring out how much power it is consuming as your load changes due to internal load fluctuation (the 50TR may not be constant?) or your outdoor air conditions (the 10,000 CFM of ventilation may already be cold in the winter) and how you apply this 12 hour period is, and so on.

You have provided insufficient information, at least one other piece of information like SEER is required. The other piece information relates to the environmental temperature, or cooling days. There are online resources from A/C manufacturers that can help you with that sort of calculation. A brute-force approach is to use their datasheets to make the estimate.

Check one example
Assume 75 KW (1.5KW/TON) electrical input power for the refrigeration unit 50 TR,
Tariff rate =USD 0.42
Monthly hours 24hr*30=720 hrs
Monthly consumption =720*75*0.42= 22,680 USD
Then consider the diversity on rune time(60%)
Then .60*720=432 hours
432*75*0.42=13,608 USD

The nameplate should have all the information that you seek.
