Engine Error

"Engine Error"
"The application is not properly registered. You may need to reinstall it."

Has anybody come across this after installing Solid Edge ST or V20 on Vista SP1.

Hi,

you installed SE while logged in as 'Administrator', and you have
disabled the UAC? Also have a look into the Readme.html
which can be found within SE's installation folder or on the
DVD. Topic: "Solid Edge System Requirements and Information"

I've done all of the above.

I had V20 installed fine than....

I uninstalled V20 to run ST, So now I tried to re-install V20 and now I get the same error message as with ST.

Hi,

hmm, I'm not running Vista so I'm out of any hints other
than there might be a lot of garbage left behind within
the registry. Try to use CCleaner or a similar program
to remove invalid or dead entries within the registry.
Clean up the temp folder and remove any SE program
folders that had not been deleted during uninstall.
If the problem is still there then either contact GTAC
or your reseller
