I work for engineers who I do design and drawing work for who have been taking my name off the "drawn by" in the title block and adding their name to it.
There is a place in the title block for "Checked By" and "Approved By" , which in the place their name should go, but they seem to want it in the "Drawn By" box.
I take lots of pride in the drawings that I do, and I really don't want my name written over, and I don't like somebody getting credit for something that I did.
The company does not seem to mind this, but I really don't know for sure.
So my question, Are there any legal issues that can come from doing this ?

we've had to come up with a confusing system of initials for the 'drawn by' to include the modeler as well as the detailer since, especially when using offshore resources, the two are not the same. We keep track of it by having a source engineering document defining how to fill out a title block

I'd just be glad it isn't the other way around (someone taking your good drawing, making a bad change, and releasing it into the wild with your name still on it.)

Why be so proud to draw something someone else thought of or engineered.
It didn't draw itself, did it? People complain no one is proud of their work. Have it one way but not both.

I have the reverse problem. A lot of our work is repetitive, so a drawing I did gets fetched up, minor (or major!) changes made by others, and it's still got my initials under the "drawn" and the "checked" box and the original dates.

JStephen- Something copied from one drawing to another clean sheet(or drawing set) should not share authorship. Otherwise, as long as revisions are properly recorded it shouldn't be a problem.

It's all okay as long as it's okay.

Is there a Quality Management System in place and if so what will it indicate for drawings? Are their level of qualifications?

Pulling back the sheets it is fraud.

Way back in days of yore, I made paper drawings for a company that used 'Stanpat' self-adhesive title blocks applied to the back face of the paper.

Mostly just for fun, I learned to letter my name backwards, on the back face of the paper, so it ended up between the paper and the Stanpat.

I'm guessing someone, someday, had a hell of a time erasing my name from the front face of the paper...
