Hey all,
So I am designing a mock water distribution system for a 30 home residential neighborhood. Goals of my design are to calculate pump size, instruments needed to automate the system, and then write a program to make it all operate automatically.
The specifications I have are as follows: 30 home neighborhood at an average of 70 psi water supply household and an average of 100 gallons per day in each house. so a total of 3000 gallons per day at 70 psi.
I would like to use an elevated storage tank at 200' because that height will give me an average of 60-80 psi. for examples sake, my water reservoir is 50' tall and is 1000' away from my elevated storage tank.
for examples sake, the elevated storage tank is 500' away from farthest house. I don't know where to begin calculating pipe and pump size necessary to supply the demand. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
