How detailed do you want to be? For example, in drafting, you could have sub-codes for preliminary drawings, final drawings, revisions, etc.
We have codes for meetings, prepping for meetings, phone calls, email, etc. Allows us to show a client where the charges come from on a T&M job. On a lump sum it's not so imporatnat.
Yeah, it is really all about the contract with the client too. Sometime a contract will have a flat fee for one code, and hourly on the other (i.e. site visit).
