Engineering Notation Take Two

I recently decided to return to my hobby building and wanted to see things in Engineering Notation, so I dug out an old xla I had written.

I placed it in C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\root\Office16\Library\Analysis

I had to update the links which was a google search.

Mine has a lot more in it, including some programmer extensions. I don't know if the newer 64bit Excel obviates the need for some of them.

There are a couple of issues I haven't taken the time to address, hey, it works for me.

This is in addition to not being able to hide the macro inside the entry cell, drats!

If you use the formula entry form for the "to engr" the StrForm must be in quotes. The Units seesm to work properly. "P" for power, "S" for shortform (M, T, a etc.) "L" for long form (Mega, Tera, atto etc.)

If any of you are real Excel add-in experts feel free to improve and share.

I still don't know why M$ hasn't done this themselves???

You might like a look at my Units4Excel spreadsheet.

It might be an idea to save the file as .xlsb or .xlsm, which makes it easier for people to access it, then they can save as .xla if they want.

As for why MS haven't done it themselves, they still seem to be under the misapprehension that people only use spreadsheets for numbers with a $ on the front.

Geesh. I have a spreadsheet entirely populated by a VBA routine that has myriad cells populated with data in range about 4 times the size. Huge. Not a friggen cell with a currency value. No reason to assume some financial aspect to the sheet.
