Hi everyone:
Does anyone known what is an enthalpy exchanger and why is it installed in a low-pressure air conditioning system?
Maybe the reason is for recovery some energy, but i can´t see in what way it works.

thanks

Hello,

An Enthalpy Heat Exchanger is usually a device that can remove moisture from a hot, moist air stream. Some types utilize a dessicant powder that will release the moisture elsewhere when a relatively small amount of heat is added to "regenerate" the dessicant. The theoretical advantage is that the moisture can be removed more efficiently than with mechanical refrigeration devices.
