Entity Selection 1

Ok, I'm back for some more help. This is more than a minor annoyance. I don't know what I did but I was happily drawing away when all of a sudden I am unable to select more than a single entity during a command. I was able to select many multiples previously. There must be some variable that I have inadvertently changed but for the life of me I can't figure out what. I have spent the past several hours trying to track it down which certainly does not help my productivity. I am a long-time ACAD user and should be able to figure this out for myself but just not able to narrow the problem down at all.

Thanks to all of you who respond to these posts. It's been very helpful to me! I'm a bit long in the tooth and just not as patient as I used to be.

Actually I've finally tracked down the culprit and thoght I would post back if anyone else runs across this problem in the future. I, however, have no idea how the sysvar got changed in the first place. You need to type in SetVariable in the command prompt, type ? and * and scroll down to SETENTSELADD and change the setting to 1.

Actually, this has been posted multiple times (including by me). The much simpler solution is to look at the first icon to the right of the selection box. It toggles between single and multiple pick. If it appears as a single arrow, you are in single pick mode, if it looks like 3 arrows you are in multiple pick mode. It is easy to change it by mistake.

Okay, that sure does sound easier by far but I see no icon on my screen next to the selection box. Is there another setting that I have missed? I'm sorry, too, that I missed this thread before but I am fairly new to the forum. I certainly appreciate the help.
